Viruses descending

Well the flu bug caught up with me today, so I'm not feeling too perky. And it's all compounded by the fact that the hvac at work is not working right, making it 85 degrees in the office.

So no writing for me today. No jabbering giants, no pontification ravens. Hopefully I'll be up for that world again tomorrow.

I did just send off a piece to a themed anthology dealing with comic books. My specific story's about a comic book author describing intertwining plot lines for different stories, and it is kind of meta-fiction. Don't know if they'll like it, but we'll see. I also have my eye on two places for another story I'll be sending out tomorrow.

I'm still debating the whole nanowrimo thing. I need to finish the horror piece first, and then I'll see how I feel. I have ideas for other shorts, but this could be the kick in the pants I need to get back to writing longer work. Still a little torn, obviously.

Until next time

I'm sorry. I can totally relate. Respiratory? I hope it isn't what I had, which was miserable, as everybody who has been on my blog lately knows.

Congrats on the fiction submission! That sounds really awesome. I just got a submission ready to send and I'm working on NaNoWriMo. So far so good but I give it about 10 pages before I won't know where to go with it.

Feel better!!!!!

Sinuses and a fever for me. The choices are to suffer with the symptoms and stay clear-headed, or load up on meds and feel a little foggy in the head. I'm going with foggy in the head for now. We'll see how well I deal between work, writing and everything else.

Hope you feel better quickly! I'm excited to see that you're sending out submissions to a number of places. Has to feel good that you're producing work and pushing it out into the world. If you're ready, I'd like to take a look at your pieces.

After last night's realization that no, bellydancing doesn't (and probably never will) come easily to me, is pushing me to reconsider the passions that have lain to waste because of the ease at which they come. Granted, I'm trying to get back into the artistic flow with the figure drawing classes, but I need to start doing things a little more often (creeping back into things). I'm hoping that your creative flow will help reinvigorate mine. So keep up the good work! :) And feel better!

These are both older pieces that are still looking for homes, so nothing to get excited about as far as new production.

I can understand the desire to get back to the more creative side, but I wouldn't give up dancing all together. You enjoy it. Treat it like I do bass playing. It's fun, it's relaxing and no pressure.
